WHERE HAVE THEY GONE

The automotive industry has experienced things never seen before and hopefully will never see again with their market share being lost to the foreign manufacturers and now they are selling some leading brands ,such as General Motors selling the Hummer brand to China and this is only the beginning .General Motors was trying to sell the Saturn brand to an investment group .The investment group backed out due to Nissan Motors declining to do the manufacturing for the Saturn brand.
The cash for clunkers program was supposed to be a great boost for the Auto Manufacturers and showed to be a success,but there are some of us that wonder what cars were being considered clunkers,I was shocked to see a fairly nice 1972 Ford F100 setting in front of a Dealership with a sign that read CASH FOR CLUNKERS ,I know this Ford truck may not be one of the high demand restoration vehicles today but in 10 years I know someone would give their eye teeth to have this truck.
The Cash for Clunkers program has taken many possible restorations off the market ,not to mention the Donor Car availability will be less and the program has had somethings added in to the program outline to help save some of the future desirable restorations,but I know that we are eliminating some of the future projects along with some very valuable parts for anyone in the future that would want to restore some type of car or truck.
I do see a bright side to this scenario ,as All of the vehicles not destroyed will be more valuable as well as the cars that would be considered a Donor Car.
I believe any restored vehicle has just increased in value,if you own a Pontiac of any year has just increased in value ,as GM is dropping this line ,I think if you have thought of restoring any type of vechile ,now would be the time to start

This thought of where have they gone is something that we will someday in the future will be asking ourselves?,But there are a few of us that will be able to show you what is parked in our garage, A restoration of some type that has had been giving a labor of our LOVE and saved from the CASH FOR CLUNKERS.
